AEW Double Or Nothing 2020 Live

This will be AEW’s first major event without fans in attendance, so the company is taking WWE’s cue and creating some unique matches to make the night memorable.

Predictions

After Britt Baker was injured during Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, she will be unable to compete in her scheduled match. She was originally the favorite, but now Statlander is the more likely choice to leave with a victory.

Bleacher Report’s writers recently shared their predictions for the entire card. Here is the roster of writers who participated:

Here is a breakdown of how everybody voted.

  • Private Party vs. Best Friends (KB, EB, DW, AM, JJ, GM, CM)
  • Cody (AM, JJ, GM, CM) vs. Archer (KB, EB, DW)
  • MJF (KB, EB, DW, AM, JJ, GM) vs. Jungle Boy (CM)
  • Moxley (KB, EB, DW, AM, JJ, GM, CM) vs. Lee
  • Darby Allin (EB, KB, DW, GM) vs. Colt Cabana vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Rey Fenix vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Kip Sabian vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Luchasaurs vs. TBD (JJ, AM, CM)
  • Rose (KB, EB, JJ) vs. Shida (DW, AM, GM, CM)
  • Baker (KB, EB, DW, AM, JJ, GM, CM) vs. Statlander
  • The Elite and Matt Hardy (KB, EB, DW, AM) vs. The Inner Circle (JJ, GM, CM)
  • AEW Double Or Nothing 2020 Live

As you can see, some of the matches have unanimous predictions. If we are correct, Best Friends will defeat Private Party, Moxley will retain the AEW World Championship and Baker would have defeated Statlander had she been able to compete.

Most people chose MJF to win his bout with Jungle Boy and it’s easy to see why. The biggest heel in AEW is also one of the most successful in 2020 with a record of 6-0.

Jungle Boy is a scrappy underdog who needs this win more than MJF. With Marko Stunt and Luchasaurus by his side, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Jack Perry score the upset.

The only two choices in the Casino Ladder match who received any votes were Allin with four and the final mystery entrant with three.

The rest of the matches are also almost evenly split. The Elite and Matt Hardy have one more vote to win than The Inner Circle, and so does Shida against Rose.

Cody has more people predicting he will win the AEW TNT Championship, but everybody picked Moxley to retain his title against Lee.

Baker’s injury could not have come at a worse time. She was just starting to become one of the most popular stars in the company because of her heel turn and recent character developments.

With Ford subbing in to face Statlander, the odds have shifted to favor AEW’s resident alien, but Ford is a talented performer who will get a good match out of Statlander.

The Stadium Stampede match sounds like it is going to be wild. The Elite, Matt Hardy and The Inner Circle will basically be competing in an Empty Arena bout, but AEW will likely have a few surprises planned to make it memorable.

Double or Nothing is supposed to be the flagship PPV for the company, so let’s hope it ends up being as fun as it was last year.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund Live

Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich: Live stream, watch online, TV channel, news, odds, Bundesliga preview

Der Klassiker is set for Tuesday at Signal Iduna Park as second-place Borussia Dortmund welcomes first-place Bayern Munich in Bundesliga action with a lot on the line. Both teams have won their first two games since play resumed earlier this month, with Bayern Munich entering the contest with a four-point lead atop the table. A win for Bayern may all but end the title race, while a win for Dortmund blows the race wide open, making it a one-point race entering next weekend’s action. Bayern will be confident in beating Dortmund again, while the hosts hope their rising young stars can rise to the occasion in what’s the biggest game of the season so far for both.

Here’s how you can watch Dortmund-Bayern and what to know:

Storylines

Dortmund: A six-game winning streak has Dortmund flying, and there is a real confidence in this side that it can come back and get revenge after falling 4-0 to Bayern earlier in the season. The attack has been quick and clinical, and the defense has also been able to control Schalke and Wolfsburg. Dortmund will be tested against a Bayern team that just scored five goals against Eintracht Frankfurt, but Dortmund has conceded just one goal in its last six league games. Emre Can is expected to play after participating in the second half of their last game, while Axel Witsel doesn’t appear to be 100 percent fit.

Bayern: No Thiago Alcantara for Bayern is a tough blow for Bayern as the Brazilian continues to deal with an adductor injury. He missed Saturday’s 5-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt and did not train on Monday, meaning coach Hansi Flick will likely go with a similar lineup to what he used in the last game. He went with Joshua Kimmich in the center with both Thomas Muller and Leon Goretzka next to him in what was a more attacking lineup than in previous matches. With Dortmund typically playing three at the back, Bayern could opt for a more reserved lineup knowing that a draw would also be a good result.

Borussia Dortmund has gained a lot of new fans during the Bundesliga restart, especially after its 4-0 win in the Revierderby over Schalke last Saturday. Supporters new and old will be tuning in to Saturday’s game at sixth-place Wolfsburg, another tough opponent.

The Black and Yellows won the reverse fixture 3-0 at Signal Iduna Park and should be favored in this matchup, but don’t count out Wolfsburg, whose defense could make this a difficult game. Led by American center back John Brooks, it runs a tight ship at the back, allowing the third-fewest goals (31) in the league this season.

There’s a lot at stake for both teams. While Dortmund is fighting to catch Bayern Munich at the top of the table, Wolfsburg is battling for sixth place to claim the last Europa League qualification spot.

Keep an eye on Erling Haaland, the 19-year-old Norwegian striker who has been wreaking havoc in the Bundesliga ever since he joined the team during the January transfer window. He has already scored 10 goals in just nine league gams. If he continues at that pace, he could finish in the top three of the golden boot race, which is crazy considering he would have only played half the season.

Another player to watch is 17-year-old American wunderkind Giovanni Reyna, who was supposed to make his first Bundesliga start last weekend but picked up an injury during the warmup. He’s supposed to be back Saturday along with central midfielder Emre Can, who also missed last weekend’s match. Marco Reus, Axel Witsel and Dan-Axel Zagadou are all still out of the lineup with injuries.

BUNDESLIGA PLAYERS TO KNOW: Nine Americans, one Canadian to watch in Bundesliga restart

It will also be interesting to see whether Jadon Sancho starts. The 20-year-old English winger has been one of, if not the most electrifying talents in the Bundesliga this season. He has bagged 14 goals (third-most) and dished out 15 assists (second-most) in league play, tying Robert Lewandowski (26 goals, three assists) for most combined goals and assists. But he didn’t get the start against Schalke even with Reyna as a late scratch. Thorgan Hazard got the nod instead, while Sancho came on in the second half well after the game had been decided as Hazard picked up a knock.

It isn’t uncommon for Dortmund manager Lucien Favre to keep his most prolific weapons on the bench; last season, he regularly used Paco Alcacer as a super sub, which worked to perfection in wins over Bayern Munich and Augsburg. Will this become a trend with Sancho, or was it just a one-off?

Hoffenheim: Predicted XI

Baumann, Kadarabek, Akpoguma, Hubner, Posch, Grillitsch, Rudy, Zuber, Baumgartner, Larsen, Bebou

Paderborn: Predicted XI

Zingerle, Drager, Hunemeier, Schonlau, Collins, Proger, Vasiliadis, Gjasula, Antwi- Adjei, Jastrzembski, Srbeny

Hoffenheim: Team news

Hoffenheim’s attacking options are very limited as top scorer Andrej Jamaric and forwards Ihlas Bebou and Sargis Adamyan may not feature due to injury problems.Furthermore, Munes Dabbur may not play eitehr due to a lack of match fitness.

Consequently, this means that Jacob Brunn Larsen and 17 year old Maximillian Beier who is yet to have made a first team appereance for Hoffenheim as of yet are the only two forwards for Alfred Schreuder’s side that are fully fit.

Paderborn: Team news

Forward Sven Michel and defenders Luca Kilian and Sebastian Schonlau missed training this week, but Steffen Baumgart believes that the latter who is the team’s captain, will at least be in the matchday squad tomorrow and Baumgart hopes that he will be able to make the starting 11.

Bad run of form for Hoffenheim

Despite only sitting four points behind the Europa League places, Hoffenheim have failed to win in the last six league games with their last victory coming on the 1st February, in a 2-1 home win against Bayer Leverkusen.

Paderborn’s search for survival

With only eight games remaining, relegation to the Bundesliga 2 looks likely for Paderborn as they are six points away from moving out of the automatic relegation zone and they are a further ten points away from drifting out of the relegation play- offs. Therefore, Steffen Baumer’s side really need a victory tomorrow if they want to stand any real chance of achieving survival in the Bundesliga but this is something that has not come easy  to them this season.

This is because they have only won four games in the league so far this campaign and they have not managed to pick up three points in the last eight games with their last win in the league coming on the 25th January.

Kick-off time

The Paderborn vs Hoffenheim match will be played at the Benteler Arena in Paderborn, Germany. The kick off is scheduled at 2:30 BST

SC Freiburg vs Werder Bremen Live

SC Freiburg vs Werder Bremen Live Werder Bremen will look to Milot Rashica first as they look to arrest a seven-game winless run against Freiburg at the Schwarzwald-Stadion on Saturday (kick-off: 3.30pm CET/2.30pm GMT/9.30am ET).

CLICK HERE TO WATCH NOW LIVE

Rashica scored one and set up another as these sides drew 2-2 in November’s reverse fixture at the Weser Stadion, but a brace from former Bremen man Nils Petersen rather drowned out the Kosovar’s good work. That was Bremen’s fifth consecutive draw, but few would have predicted that just seven points would be picked up in the subsequent 15 games. Coach Florian Kohfeld hasn’t been helped by a raft of injuries throughout the season, although Die Grün-Weißen were approaching full-strength in Monday’s 4-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen. Former Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen returns from suspension, butfirst-choice left-back Ludwig Augustinsson is still lacking fitness following a muscular injury. Josh Sargent will hope to get the nod up front following his 20-minute cameo from the bench against Bayer.

Freiburg have lost eight of their last 13 home games to Bremen but recent history has been much kinder to the Black Forest club. Christian Streich’s men begin the day in seventh – 10 places and 19 points better off than their hosts – and would end the weekend in the European places provided they win and Wolfsburg lose to Borussia Dortmund. Freiburg held title aspirants RB Leipzig to a 1-1 draw last time out, and with Lukas Kübler and Mark Flekken the only players struggling with injury, Streich can call upon most of his squad. He could rotate in places, with those in the final third positions most likely to swap in and out. Luca Waldschmidt and Lucas Höler are among those pushing for inclusion from the start.

Watch: Milot Rashica, Bremen’s NextGen star

Match stats

  • Freiburg have already picked up more points after 26 matches (37) than they managed across each of the previous two seasons (36).
  • Freiburg’s Petersen, who scored both goals in the reverse fixture, registered 18 goals in 72 appearances for Bremen. He has hit a club-record 84 in 171 for Freiburg, but is without a goal in eight Bundesliga matches.
  • Eleven of Freiburg’s last 15 goals have come via set-pieces; Bremen have conceded a league-high 18 times from set-plays.
  • Werder have also shipped 14 headed goals, including three in the defeat to Leverkusen. Only once have they conceded more – 15 in 2004/05.
  • Bremen led the reverse fixture twice, before having to settle for a 2-2 draw. Despite taking the lead in 13 of their 25 league games so far this season, they have gone on to win just four of them.
  • Rashica scored one and assisted the other against Freiburg back on Matchday 10, but has failed to add to his team-leading seven goals in his last 10 Bundesliga matches.

Probable line-ups

Freiburg: Schwolow – Gulde, Lienhart, Heintz – Schmid, Koch, Höfler, Günter (c) – Waldschmidt, Petersen, Höler
Out: Flekken (ankle), Kübler (knee)
Doubtful:
Coach: Christian Streich

Bremen: Pavlenka – Gebre Selassie, Veljkovic, Moisander (c), Friedl – M. Eggestein, Bargfrede, Klaassen – Bittencourt, Selke, Rashica
Out: Augustinsson (match fitness), Füllkrug (torn ACL), Möhwald (knee), Pizarro (thigh)
Doubtful: Toprak (calf)

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen Live

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen If last week’s return of the Bundesliga had a ceremonial, prodigal son feel to it, this weekend’s offering promises to cut through the red tape straight to the serious stuff.

CLICK HERE TO WATCH NOW LIVE

The “new normal” may still be feeling significantly nearer to the “new” end of the scale than the “normal”, but amidst the social distancing, the echoing arenas, the swathe of testing and the bellyful of coronavirus anxiety, there are high stakes to be played for this weekend in the only one of Europe’s top leagues to have taken the plunge back into action.

Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach might only be the longest of long shots for the title between them, but the race for the Champions League is promising to be a mightily close affair of the season’s final eight games.

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Werder Bremen: Preview

Football — or soccer, although we should really call it “fussball” in this case — is back, and every sports fan should be excited. “Fussball” is (as you probably have figured out by now) the German word for football, and it’s the only major soccer league in the world that’s resumed play. Thanks to the German FA, we get fussball for three whole days, and trust those that keep up their interest in the Bundesliga . . . this game may look like it’s been shuttled til Monday because it’ll be a boring match up, but the league is smart, and knowing it’s the only top league playing means they’re bringing their A-game to Monday night (well, midday on the other half of the globe, including the United States).

We start with Leverkusen, who despite having qualified for a Champions League position last season (then losing out on the Group Stage, dropping down to Europa League, where they hold a 3-1 league over Rangers) are fighting for that same Champions League spot, and they only have to beat Werder — and hope that Borussia Mönchengladbach don’t take all three points from Eintracht Frankfurt. In fact, this game feels like a warmup for next week, when Leverkusen and Gladbach face off in what could end up being the match that decides fourth place.

Bayer Leverkusen may be hot hot hot right now — since returning from the winter break, they’ve lost just once (to Hoffenheim, of all sides) while beating Dortmund in a 4-3 thriller and holding RB Leipzig to a point — but Werder are desperate.

Yes, that’s a position Werder Bremen almost always find itself in two-thirds of the way into the season. But this year, they’re eight points from safety, and four from even making the relegation playoffs. This time, their fans are justified in freaking out a little. Bremen have scored just two goals since the end of the winter break, however, and even those gave them just a draw against Hertha Berlin. Perhaps red-headed 20-year-old American striker Josh Sargent can be the one to get Die Grun-Weissen back on the scoreboard.
